Tempe, Arizona 85281 September 23, 2013 Pamela Iloure 1 Infinite Loop, M/S 84-3CE Cupertino, CA 95014 Dear Ms. Iluore: Please consider me for the position of Sustainable Materials Intern, as advertised on Sun Devil Careerlink at Arizona State University. I was particularly excited to see a position open at Apple, Inc., as I have been a lifelong user of Mac computers. In fact, I have been using a Mac computer since before I could walk! As a consumer of Apple, Inc. products it is important to purchase responsibly sourced and recyclable products and materials. As a senior-standing student that is double majoring in Sustainability and Supply Chain Management at Arizona State University, I can give a unique perspective on cradle to cradle material systems. My specialized track at the School of Sustainability in Energy, Materials, and Technology has given me the tools to apply sustainable practices, cost-analysis and integration through innovation and design. It has been essential for my performance to be an effective team manager and review practices with a holistic life cycle assessment. I recognize myself in the job description of the position. I am passionate about sustainability and inspired to make changes in finding locally harvested, energy efficient, safe, and affordable products that can be easily recycled. As you will see in my attached resume, I have experience working in the recycling department at Arizona State University researching and analyzing the effectiveness of e-waste and other materials. In addition to my professional experience, I have lead three successful zero-waste events as Director of Initiatives of Campus Student Sustainability Initiatives. I think my skills, experience, and interest match with what you are seeking, and I am excited about the chance to work with you. Sincerely,

Allie Brickner
