New & Highlighted Courses Spring 2014

FINA 6325, Behavioral Finance, 2 credits Examine how the insights of behavioral finance complement the traditional paradigm and shed light on investors, trading patterns, corporate finance, and various Wall Street institutions and practices. SCO 6850, Topics: Sales and Operations Planning, 2 credits The demand forecast is among the most important predictions in a business context impacting short run and long run planning. MGMT 6100, Topics: Strategic Management of Intellectual Property, 2 credits Learn the legal and managerial tools for applying intellectual property-based strategies that will advance your firm and career. MGMT 6085, Corporate Strategy, 4 credits Study how firms can create and sustain competitive advantage through the development and deployment of firm resources. Condensed Courses Condensed courses generally meet three full days, Fridays or Saturdays, during the first or second half of the semester. The specific class meeting dates of a condensed course are listed on the One Stop Student Service class schedules. Online Courses Online courses are either completely online or deliver all class content online but require in-person exams. Online classes generally fill quickly. The status of each class as partially or completely online is listed on the One Stop Student Services Class Schedule. Online courses offered in spring 2014 include: MBA 6120, Data Analysis and Statistics for Managers, 3 credits MBA 6140, Managerial Economics, 2 credits IDSC 6442, E-Sourcing and E-Auctions, 2 credits MCOM 5510, Persuasive Writing in Business, 2 credits MGMT 6004, Negotiations Strategies, 2 credits

Saturday Courses A mix of core and elective courses are offered every fall and spring semester. Saturday courses meet either in the morning from 8:00 -11:20 am or in the afternoon from 12:30 -3:50 pm.
