Abstract This document presents the energy crises from 1970
until today. It describes the causes, the mitigation effects, the
social and economic effects of an energy crisis and correlates the
energy crises with the oil shortage. Also, this documents lists the
historical crises of this period. Finally, it shows some crisis
management methods, which were used during this period.
