Andy Martinic Grade 10 Red 9/17/2013 Design brief For this unit the class has to choose a logo

and redesign it into a better logo. The logo that I have chosen is the AFL Arena Football League I will be changing a lot of things in the logo, the colors, the shape of the logo, the lettering, I will also be adding the full definition of the three latters AFL. I chose this logo because I did not like the way the logo was designed, the colors are wrong there is no definition of the three latters. I also want to try and put the shape of a man screaming in the back round of the logo for that extra touch to the logo. The CEO of the company is a very important part of the company so I would also like to put his name on to the logo, and the year that the league first started and the present year. The company started in the 1897, it was originally called the VFL (Victorian football league) the football league was based of the Australian state of Victoria. The name was changed to AFL (Australian Football League) after the 1990s foot season. The football teams are mostly from the Australian country it self.

Design specification For the logo I will be using the program called Gimp, Gimp is an editing program that helps when Im creating the logo. In this logo I will have the lettering in red, the background will be black. The two main colors are going to be black and red. I chose those to colors because they are not so complicated and it still looks really good. I do not want to make the logo to stand out too much, I want it to have a fade in kind of thing. The color would improve the look of the logo. I found important to put the CEO of the company in the logo so he/she could became known in the football league. Also I thought it would be a good idea to have a historical figure in the logo, the historical figure could be the man in the background and also the dates in the logo, when the league first started and the current date. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. My logo will have the colors red and black in it. It will have the definition of the AFL. The shape of a man screaming in the background. The lettering will be red and black out line. I want to keep the same font of the lettering. And I also want to put the name of the CEO of AFL football league. Also the year the football league started and the present year.
