Assignment 6 1.

Input of a sampled sine wave signal is presented as a sequence of pulses/values:

a) Apply the Tastins integration approximation formula to obtain the integral of this digital signal (use T=1 ms) b) Plot the digital pulses to prove that the signal corresponds to the integral of sine function 2. What should be the duty cycle and duration of pulses generated by the electronic switch (chopper) from a D.C. voltage supply of the magnitude of 5 V in order to produce a voltage magnitude of 3 V. Assume that the frequency of the pulses is 50 Hz. 3.

Assume the diameter of the cell is 100 mm. Wheatstone bridge power supply is 10 V. The expected voltage output for the display at full load is 30 mV. Define the electrical components (devices and resistors in the circuit) that can provide the expected output at full load and the voltage output corresponding to the accuracy of the mass to be monitored. 4.

Design the system (choose the electronic components of the measurement system and calculate the circuit resistors) that satisfies to the following conditions: Cold junction of the thermocouple is kept at 20C, RTD (nickel resistance element) with the resistance R0 of 10 at 0C, the temperature coefficient of resistance a=0.0067/K, supply voltage for the bridge is 1V, voltage output from the system should be 10 mV at 100C, linearity of the thermocouple reading should be maintained in order to approximate its readings as e=t (see the table above for the verification). What is the voltage out from the thermocouple when cold junction is kept at 20C? 5.
