2013 Student Government Application

Student government is for 9th through 11th grade and will serve as an extension of the Senior Prefect System. They will work with the Prefects on various activities throughout the year and gain exposure to organizational leadership. They will directly report to the Head Prefects. Students will vote for the following class officers: President, Vice President, and Chaplain. Any student who wishes to be a part of student government for the current school year will need to fill out and return this form to Mrs. Cole by Friday, September 6h 2013. Campaign Speeches will be given via video format through HCA today. Elections will be held following the completion of those speeches in mid September. Prerequisites for each of the candidates are: Must be a professing believer in Jesus Christ as personal Savior. Must have had a minimum of a B average in core classes for the previous year Must be loyal to the school and involved in school activities. Must be willing to serve for the full year. Must have a good rapport with the students, teachers, and administration. Duties of Class Officers 1. President Lead class meetings and government meetings. Be in charge of any class responsibilities and fund raising. Organization of the other class officers Help in planning and organization of events 2. Vice President Assist the president. Be in charge when the president cannot be there. Help in the planning and organization of events Take notes at the meetings. Responsible for any handouts to the class 3.
