Raghu Leishangthem :

Born 5th august, 1959 at Thoubal, is a Science graduate of Guwahati University; At present, he is working as an Inspector of Excise, Government of Manipur. Ex-General Secretary, Naharo Sahitya Premee Samiti, Imphal; Life Member, Writers Forum, Imphal; ExJoint Editor, Sahityagee Pao (a quarterly Manipuri literary journal); regular newspaper columnist, writing on a wide range of topics covering art and culture, social problems and literature; programme contributor, AIR and DDk, Imphal; Member, North East Writers Forum, Guwahati, Art Society, Manipur etc..

Awards and Honors :

Telem Abir Award, 2005 (Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Imphal) for his book Hanubigi Eesing Pun. Naorem Kanhai Literary Award, 2007 (Writers Association Kakching) for his book Khungangi Chithi. Yambem Mani Literary Award- 2009 ( Sahitya Samiti, Kakching) for his book Chisang Napomna Kapli.
