Distribution of exercise in the United States

Of the group of people in the U.S. that exercise 30% reported walking as the exercise they perform on an average day and 7.1% reported running on the average day.

Of the 30% of people that walk 57% of them are females and of the 7.1% of people that reported running 42% are females. Females are more prone to stress fractures than men so the product produced would be more directed towards females.

From this graph we can see that middle aged to elderly people are the people that most frequently participate in running and exercise so the product would be marketed towards this age group.
