Find out he maximum ripple current on output for switching regulator Iripple RMS=(Iout/Vin)/([sqrt(Vout{Vin-Vout}]) 3). Find the duty cycle/.... Duty Cycle=Vin/Vout=Ton/(Ton+Toff), and from here find the value of Ton( this is the value of 'dt' for what time inductor will supply the current. 4). L=Vi*(dt/di)
