Emma Klingaman Genre Recreation Rationale Cover Letter The goal of my paper is to show the reader that the

coherent statement of my original text has stayed true through the transformation of the genre into a collage. What changed is that the subject in the collage is clearer, the purpose is more difficult to discern, and the audience is a much larger group of people than in the original text which was song lyrics. I think that the weaknesses of my paper are the very beginning and the conclusion. I feel that I could have a stronger hook at the beginning and an overall broad statement at the end of my conclusion. The strengths of my paper are the body paragraphs where I break down the evolution of the rhetorical elements. I would like you to focus on the weaknesses I stated previously in order to give me advice on what I could add to the opening and closing paragraphs.
