Classroom Document Reflection

The classroom document that I picked was a game that the students had to plan, that worked on multiplying by exponents. The class that I was in was a very athletic class, most if not all the students participated in some type of sport. The game that the students needed to play was a football game that had to do with rolling one die, that was the base number, the second die was the exponent. The students would then do the multiplication out, and the answer corresponded to yards gained on a football field. The students had four chances to roll the dice and get a touchdown against their opponent. The game was interesting enough and the students enjoyed the game, but what was interesting to me was that the teacher knew her students well, picked an activity that worked with their interest as well as something that went along with their lesson. Making learning fun as well as connecting to their interest was smast decision on the teachers part.
