Lesson Plan Idea Format 10 Points

Grade Level & Subject Area 8th grade social studies Common Core Framework: (_____/2 points) 8.SL.5 - Integrate multimedia and visual displays into presentations to clarify information, strengthen claims and evidence, and add interest. Objective (What are the students going to accomplish): (_____/1 point) The students will be assigned a decade and will focus on the culture of that decade. Clothing, music, hairstyle, sports, and politics are a few examples of what should be in the presentation. Materials: (_____/1 point) Computer, Photo Story, Jump Drive Procedure: (_____/5 points) The students will be given one week to complete the project. There must be at least one song from the decade. It must be at least 15 slides and there must be a picture on each slide. On the due date, the students will present their Photo Story saved from their flash drive onto the Smart Board for the class. Assessment (How will the students show you that the objective has been met): (_____/1 point) The students will write a 1-2 page paper reinforcing the ideas that were in their presentation.
