Status report for e-governance campus Paavai Institutions, Namakkal

Paavai Institutions are certified as eGov Campus for the year 2013-14. In our Paavai egovernance campus we are having team of 11 Faculty members. Paavai institutions eGov Campus Inaugurated by Dr.M Moni Director General National Informatics Centre (Retired) and Ms. Kala Rao Principal Consultant (e-Governance) of Tata Consultancy Services on 31st July 2013 (Wednesday) . Our faculty members are attended the eGov live video Q&A session with Dr. Sanjeev Singh on 7th august 2013 The various special features available in our Namakkal district, 1. Educational District 2. Poultry District 3. Transport District 4. Textile industries 5. Sago production 6. Agricultural operation Based on the feature, we have identified the following areas for developing e-gov campus in our Paavai institutions. 1. Data mining 2. Web services 3. Local language Interface (Tamil) 4. Mobile Computing and Applications 5. Innovation 6. Newsletter (online) publication The students are divided in to different groups based on their interested area. Each students group are work with their interested area for getting requirements from the end user (Farmers, Students etc...). The analysis which is based on Citizen Government Citizen (CGC), Government Citizen Government (GCG), Citizen business Citizen (CBC), Business Citizen Business (BCB) services will boost internet based growth and development. Students are start survey on Educational department in our District it related to database. We are planning to start Paavai Explorer in our college and post our research and survey paper in our Paavai Explorer.
