Digital Citizenship Pledge Cyber Bully Awareness

Attention Parents/Guardians:
The following is a pledge that will be upheld in my classroom and is an understanding that there is 0% tolerance when it comes to cyber bullying. After reading, you shall sign this pledge in acknowledgement of the responsibility you have towards your child/ward and to me. 1.

Cyber bullying, or bullying that takes place electronically through text, social media, email, etc. is not tolerated and any student caught engaging in this will be reprimanded to the School Resource Officer.

I, the parent/guardian, am responsible for monitoring my childs/wards activity online to make certain of any misconduct and to be aware

of who my child/ward is associating with on any social media site or chat room.
3.

I will teach my child/ward proper etiquette when speaking using technology and to respect others as they would in my classroom.

4.

I have read the syllabus and am aware of the expectations for assignments, attendance and behavior in the classroom and electronically on the class website.

5.

If I have any knowledge of cyber bullying against ANY of the students I will directly email Ms. Whitney and the Guidance Counselor so it can be dealt with in the most effective manner.
