Dear Andy: My assignment was to clarify meaning and give my opinions on the structure. After reviewing the Practice Exercise 1 page, I found a few suggestions to help with the consistency and organization pattern of the document. Although all information is included to find the answers to the problems, it is useful to make sure all readers are capable of easily following the information. First, I would suggest numbering each step; this allows a better flow of information and does not cause the reader confusion in following the steps. Personally, at first glance, I did not know that the information was instructions. Next, consistency is key. Command words and titles that must be clicked on should all have the same formatting which includes having the words inside double quotations. Hints, information used only for reference should follow the same formatting also. I find the Hint that is light blue and in parentheses is the best one and that is should be used for the other two hints in the document. Finally, there should be a bigger emphasis on the two practice questions. Initially, I did not see the first question and then was confused when I saw the second one. The questions should be leftaligned with extra line spacing before and after to distinguish them from the steps to find the answers. Overall, the document does include all necessary information. However, I feel that with a few changes and emphasis on select areas, the reader can follow the steps more fluently. Sincerely, Megan Whitney
