ADVENT ONE

HOPE

This first candle represents HOPE. It was with anticipation that Mary and Joseph waited for baby Jesus to come.

They were looking forward to seeing this new birth of a child who was to be the Savior of the World.

Mary and Josephs wish came soon when Jesus was born in the city of Bethlehem.

We have hope today because Jesus is the light of the world.

We can believe in faith that He will prepare our hearts for eternity to be with Him in heaven.

A - Admityou have sinned. B - BelieveJesus died for your sins. C - Confess your sins and ask Jesus to forgive you. It is HIS promise to do just that!

Small Group Discussion

1. What does hope mean to you? 2. How do you feel when things seem hopeless? 3. How can we show compassion to others who seem to have no hope? 4. What hope does God give us each day?
