Requirements for office

House 1. Must be at least 25 years of age 2. Must have been a citizen of the united states for at least 7 years 3. Mush be an inhabitant of the state from which he or she was elected There are 435 members and must serve a term of 2 years Senate 1. Must be at least 30 years old 2. Must have been a US citizen at least 9 years 3. Inhabitant of the state form which he or she was elected There are 40 members and they must serve a total of 6 years
