Did adults make scary poems to scare kids into doing the right thing? 2. Were the poems considered appropriate when first published? If they were, are they still considered appropriate today? 3. Why have poems with an easy to follow rhythm and then poems with hard to follow rhythm? 4. If the poems were not meant just for children why are most of them written about children?

One of the patterns that I noticed was; rhyming styles within the poems. Most of the poems had rhyming words at the ends of the lines. There is also the pattern of children learning lessons by making mistakes. Some of the mistakes involved injuries or even death.
