My husband transferred to Germany where I was the chief nurse at an Army dispensary for 3 years. Then after moving back to the states, I was the head of OR and OB in a small hospital (the only one in the area). I then transferred to Texas and was a nursing supervisor, then did some home health. I spent a year as director of nurses at a nursing home. After that, I became the regional director of Girling Health Care primary care division for 5 years. I then became the assistant director of nurses at a 480 bed level one trauma center. When it was sold to a Catholic group, who brought in their own management team, I started working as a traveling nurse, I had some other jobs also during this time because I was married to someone who was in the army and moved every 18 months or more. As a travel nurse, I worked ICU or OR and I did that until I moved to Sierra Vista, Arizona where I went to work for the VA. I then retired. I have a total nursing career of 50 years. I have known Lisa Salinas for more than 15 years. She is a very caring person who has empathy for her fellow humans. She is of good moral character and very active in her church. I have noted her to be very calm and collected in difficult situations where others have lost control.
