Tycka - Tnka - Tro

Tycka
att ha en personlig sikt, mena, anse - used to express personal opinion or feeling. Ex. Hon tycker att hennes klnning r vcker. (She thinks that her dress is beautiful) Ex. Jag tycker att vi ska se den dr filmen. Den r nog bra. (I think we should see that film. It is good enough) Tycka om: vara frtjust i, gilla - to like (stress on om). Ex. Vi tycker om att resa. Ex. - Tycker du om filmen? (Do you like the movie) - Ja, det var roligt. Tycka om is a particle verb and it has nothing to do with the verb tycka. Tycka om: ha en sikt om - think about (stress on tycka). - Vad tycker du om filmen? (What do you think about the movie) - Den var jttebra! Here om is used as a preposition of the verb tycka. (om = about)

Tnka
1. anvnda hjrnan, fundera, grubbla - think about, consider (requires
usage of brain considerably). Ex. Han tnkte p problemet hela dagen. (He thought about the problem all day long) Ex. Hon tnker ofta p sin gamla mamma. (She usually thinks about her old mother)

2. planera, ska - to plan something in the near future.

Ex. I morgon tnker jag g p bio. (I am going to (planning to go to) cinema tomorrow) Ex. Jag tnker ka till landet i helgen. (I am planning to go to the country this weekend)

Tro
1. inte veta skert, anta, frmoda - suppose, presume, guess. You
have an opinion on something but you are not sure. Ex. Jag har inte sett programmet p TV, men jag tror det r bra. (I haven't watched the program on TV but I suppose it is good) Ex. Jag tror att Sverige vinner ver Ungern i fotboll p lrdag. (I guess Sweden will win in football against Hungary on Saturday)

2. lita p att ngot r sant - believe in something.

Ex. Jag tror p slumpen. (I believe in luck) Ex. Hon tror p allt som tidningarna skriver. (She believes everything written in the newspaper)

Tro eller Tycker

Fre bion: Den hr filmen r bra, tror jag. Efter bion: Den hr filmen var bra, tycker jag. Before a movie, you suppose/believe that the film is good based on what you read and hear. Therefore, tror is used in this case. However, you have your own opinion after watching the film, so tycker is used to express your own view.
