Three criteria

Comprehensiveness. Does it tell you the whole story? How complete a picture of protest is this? Objectivity. How balanced is the representation? Accuracy. Is it correct? Can it be correct? Does it give the impression of being accurate?

Follow the questions ...

Does R1 tell the whole story? If not, why not? If the 'whole story' was not its intention then has it told the whole of its side? Can you think of anything (use your research) that shows it is or is not complete? Give some examples. Why didn't the author include these? Overall, then, how good a job does it do of representing protest in the USA during the Vietnam War? Compare R1 to R2. Answer the same questions. (If you can compare the two directly you'll have a very smiley Mr French). Finally, which is the best at representing protest in the USA during the Vietnam War?
