Experiments for Lab course in Robotics Autumn 2013

The class is supposed to work on the following seven experiments to successfully complete the lab course in Robotics. Each of the experiments given below is to be done in a group. All six registered students comprise the group. The submitted document of the experiment should mention the contribution of each member of the group. A viva will be conducted to ascertain the understanding of each student. Experiments: 1. Realization and testing of mobile robot speed controller using inclined test bed. 2. Repeatability test of iARM robot arm. 3. Realization of Robot arm using ARM Cortex-M3 processor. The processor is supposed to control six servo motors to move the Robot arm to a given point in 3D space. 4. Realization of coarse and fine feedback loop for a mobile Robot. The Robot is to return in the shortest possible time from a given obstacle. Use ultrasonic and infrared proximity sensor as feedback for coarse and fine control loops. 5. Realization of Quadrotor Robot. The Robot should be able to hover and ascend to a given height. 6. Robot to perform self localization and mapping (SLAM) functionality using NI Robot. 7. Co-operative Robot action for search and rescue. Four mobile Robots scout for a piece of wood. As soon as one Robot locates the wood, it signals the other Robots to reach that location. All the four mobile Robots then collectively push the piece of wood to a distance of 10 cm. __________________________________________________________________
