Immediate partial denture dengan alveolektomi interseptal untuk rehabilitasi estetik gigi dan wajah

Author : R Iskandar(1), Widaningsih(2) Abstract : An Immediate Partial Denture (IPD) constructed prior to the extraction of the natural teeth and inserted immediately after teeth removal. In this case, a woman of 28 years old with the upper anterior teeth were protruded and extruded, followed by a prominent upper jaw. This poor aesthetic performance made patients felt unconfident. The IPD were prepared with interseptal alveolectomy. Interdentally septa were removed after the extraction of the teeth and then the buccal outer cortical plate were collapsed lingual to the inner plate. The use of IPD with interseptal alveolectomy has some advantages, the denture could be inserted immediately, and the wound fastly recovered, and because the denture also as a splinting. Patient satisfied the denture, because of her aesthetic problems immediately solved.<br><br> (end)
