Writing is one of the most effective tools of communication humans have created

over the years. I have particular interest in writing because my interests include psychology, neuropsychology, robotics, computational science, and biology. These subjects will come to dene my future and the most articulate way I can emphasize them is through language and writing. Writing allows what would otherwise be a complicated verbal communication susceptible to tangent or unrelated thought, and allows it to become denite and structured thus allowing me to to convey my information as I intend. ! ! In the future I wish to be designing robots, explaining neuroscience, and

revealing biological phenomenons all of which will have to be thoroughly explained. Science and knowledge are only benecial if one can effectively communicate their point or subject to a second party. Writing is the main way organizations accept applications for grants and funding, thus critical thinking will be required to explain a concept, idea, and business plan to prospective investors or interested persons. Furthermore as an aspiring academic I will be sharing many of the discoveries that I may stumble upon to inspire future generations as the current generations have inspired me.! ! The current academic world is built around writing, and though they are not all

considered academic; Popular Science, Nature, and Popular Mechanics are all read and viewed by a signicant part of the scientically interested people in the US, such as myself. I do now and will continue to read and view many of the interesting written ideas other people make available. When professors create academic works they write papers!
