Context and objectives of the project The vision of Gabon is to develop a supply of drinking water and clean, sustainable and competitive energy. Gabon has a large Ntoum water treatment plant consisting of 4 slices (Ntoum 3, 4, 5 and 6) with a total capacity of 180,000 m3/d for the region of Libreville. Port-Gentil has a pumping water at Mandorove and 2 drilling stations. The daily production was of 19 900 m3 in 2008. The objective of the construction of Ntoum 7 is to increase the water production capacity.

Description This plant located in the Nkoltang village will produce 140,000 m3/d and will enhance the production of drinking water of Ntoum 3-4 and Ntoum 5-6. A new line, the DN1200, which cost 62 billion francs CFA (126,995,781.03 USD), already connects Ntoum 7 to Libreville in order to increase the capacity of the water supply to the capital.
