New Zealand ducation $roviders will have their own nglish language requirements for an offer of place depending on the course you enrol in. %he following guidelines have been suggested to us by a number of ducation $roviders in New Zealand and reflect their e!perience with students from this market. nglish scores in C-& , IC& , 9aharashtra, :est -engal and %amil Nadu boards can also be presented in lieu of I <%& reports. A +,K score in nglish from one of the aforementioned boards is considered equivalent to an overall I <%& score of B.B= +BK is considered equivalent to +.,= C,K to +.B and so on. Notwithstanding this, if an I <%& result is available, it is considered as conclusive evidence of student0s nglish language ability and considered against the course entry

requirement. :e have to be satisfied that the student meets the entry requirement for the course they enrol in. :e do not consider %; F< results in isolation as conclusive evidence of nglish <anguage ability, as they are unable to be readily verifiable. :e strongly recommend that if a student is to undertake a test they should undertake the I <%& test so that their level of nglish is clearly measured against the course requirement. F#(#re Vis%s" $lease note that where feasible INZ 9umbai will issue future visa0s and it is the applicant0s2 agent0s responsibility to ensure that the visa holder does not arrive in New Zealand before the /start date0 mentioned on their visa label. In an event where the visa holder travels before the /start date0 mentioned on the visa label, there is a high probability that they will be refused boarding while departing India or turned back at the border on arrival in New Zealand.
