Human power has failed before and it will fail again. The remnant had left far more than its dark and twisted memories in Marcus Fables mind; it had left scars forever etched into his soul. Its sincere venom filled threats echoing in his skull as its invasive and bloodthirsty consciousness faded away, into nothing, dying. It had been a long and painful struggle back to sanity; bit by bit Marcus assembled a mind shattered into a million puzzle pieces into a new mosaic of clarity.
