Sarah Henderson Mr. Beers SLS 1501 26 August 2013 My name is Sarah Henderson, but my friends and peers call me Katie. I am currently enrolled at Wildwood High School as a junior. I am a very goal oriented and focused person when it comes to obtaining goals in life. My short term goals include maintaining all A averages and a 4.0 GPA for my high school classes at the end of my high school career. I aim to gain college credit for my classes as a dual-enrollment student at LSSC. My long term goals include obtaining a nursing license and bachelors degree in nursing by the end of the next six years through a university or college. My hobbies and activities include varsity softball, participating as water-girl for the Wildwood High School football team, and a member of the National Honors Society. Outside of school, I am an active member and volunteer in my church and youth group. As a junior at Wildwood High School, I am an all-honors student and ranked at the top ten percent. Overall, I am ranked at number three in my class. My current level of education is secondary, being a high school student. My career interests include the field of nursing or criminal justice. While I have taken interest in being a police officer, I am leaning more toward becoming a neonatal nurse or a pediatric palliative care nurse. I enjoy helping people, especially young children. While I would be able to improve the life of a newborn with birth complications as a neonatal nurse, I also have the interest in helping children have a positive outlook that are in the last stages in their life. While some children need special care, I have the need to help those children that have certain difficulties.

College is an opportunity that should not be taken lightly. The experience of college can help an individual gain self-awareness. Even increased knowledge of the outside world can be obtained before going into a career field. From this class, I hope to gain increased selfconfidence and awareness in every aspect of my life. From college, I hope to gain a knowledge that will better prepare me for my future life and career.
