Virtue Reflection

Name: Trish Rogerson

At the beginning of the semester you were challenged to practice a virtue this semester. Tell what virtue you selected to practice and why you selected that virtue: The virtue I have been practicing this semester is patience. Why I choose this virtue is cause I don t have much patience for a lot of things li!e ta!ing test" waiting on people" doing homewor!#course wor!. When I start to loose my patience with things I end up going into a panic attac!" or and an$iety attac!" and sometimes I even get so inpatient that I will get angry and that is how most of my fights start. Now that I have been practicing patience I have noticed that I don t get panic or an$iety attac!s or get mad. %o I been able to control my panic and an$iety attac!s and my anger so I don t get into fights or even get agitated to the point that I can t control all of this. Another reason I need to learn and practice patience is cause of my son who is autistic because with him you have to have a lot of patience. With an autistic !id they learn everything different then a person li!e I do and he is still learning from right to wrong. %o I have to remember that I need to ta!e a deep breath when ever I am starting to get inpatient with him. If ta!ing a breath does not wor! then I am learning that I need to step away so I don t say something wrong to him even though he is autistic he is very intelligent for his age and having this mental problem. &y progress with practicing patience I would have to say I have done o!ay with it I still have a lot to learn about being more patience when it comes to doing class wor!. Why I say this is because I sometimes loose my patience and I end up getting angry and wanting to throw my paper wor! or even boo! or a pen or pencil what ever I have in my hand at the time I get inpatient. 'ther then this I would have to say I am getting better at having patience with most

things li!e I said I still need to practice it more but I believe in my self that I will accomplice this goal I am going to !eep wor!ing on having more patience. I am satisfied with my progress I have made in the three months I have been wor!ing on having patience. Why I am satisfied with the progress is because now I don t get panic or an$iety attac!s as often as I use to. To top it off I have lowered my anger down a lot and I can say I have gotten more patient with my son in the last three months that I have been practicing patience even more then I normally do. (very day I wor! on being more patience with everything and I am noticing that I am getting a lot better at it. I even as!ed my aunt that I live with if I have gotten better at being patience and she said yes you have I have notice that you doing get as agitated. In conclusion I have gotten better at being patient but still need to !eep wor!ing on it. %o that I can have a lot more patience when it comes to everything else.
