OTHER GUIDELINES FOR EPALS NETIQUETTE:

a) Sign and commit to the EPALS Netiquette with a statement such as this:

I understand that the work I do online will be reflected in my grade. Excellent work will be reflected positively in my grade. Negligent or inappropriate work will be reflected negatively in my grade.
b) Print a copy and hang it in the classroom. c) The first infringement of NETIQUETTE can be a teachable moment. Everyone may be called to attention and the class can analyze together what is or is not appropriate about that response. Chances are the netiquette violator did not write his name on his post on a lino board type of assignment anyway, so this can be done 'anonymously.' d) Encourage the change. Preclude learning with online technologies, such as by saying the following:

"You have an opportunity to learn in a way no one else ever has. It's really life changing. Learning with online technologies can be so collaborative, interesting and exciting. It can also be easily be ruined through silly behavior. Let's make the most of it. I know you'll make the right choice."

OPTION B:
Another option is to remove students from the program who are not mature enough to handle it.
