PHYSICS

1) 2) 3) 4) 5) Meaning of physics Different definitions of physics Importance of physics in our daily life Modern researches in physics Applications of physics

Definitions:
The word physics is a Greek word means knowledge of nature and nature is the natural science which involves the study of matter. OR The branch of science which deals with the study of matter and energy and the relationship or interactions between matter and energy is called physics.

MATTER:
SOME THEORIES ABOUT ATOM:
Greek philosophers about atom (in 4th century BC) Dalton about atom(in 1800) JJ Thomson about atom(1897) Rutherford about atom(1911) Bohr about atom(1913)

Einsteins equation
E=mc2 E=energy m=mass c=speed of light This equation tells us that mass and energy are interconvertible and no one can achieve the speed of light, I can also say that a body cant move with the speed of light.

QUESTION:
If a body moves with a speed of light then the body(mass) will convert into energy, Is it true or false?

IMPORTANCE OF PHYSICS
Physics covers a wide range of phenomenon, from elementary particles i.e; from quarks and electrons to the largest super cluster of galaxies. Therefore physics is called fundamental science. It will not be wrong, if I say that without physics, we could not be able to walk or see or have a brain to build a computer. Physics is the basic of engineering and technology. The latest research in physics is, why the mass can not transfer in seconds like that of energy.

APPLICATIONS OF PHYSICS
Loudspeakers, vehicles, rockets, missiles, television, laser, x-rays and numerous other such tools have brought revolutionary changes in our life and these all are under the study of physics Physics plays an important role in health, economic development, education, energy and the environment. Just physics is the subject in which Pakistani scientist DR Abdussalam got the nobel prize. So the role of physics in our modern world is more important than in any other time in history.
