A virus inf ected f lash drive can def initely create trouble. It is possible a virus in the f lash drive could alters the names of the f iles to shortcuts. In this condition it becomes dif f icult to view f iles even af ter the virus is eradicated. T his problem can still be tackled. If you did not f ormat your f lash drive, then check whether the f iles are in hidden mode.
