Tyra Isom Professor Harcourt WRT 1010 Section 22 30 November 2013 Reflection During this semester, I have learned how to write a narrative essay, short argumentative essay, persuasive essay, and so many more. My favorite essay would have to be the narrative essay because it describes a course of events from a subjective point, and may be written in first person present. The persuasive essay was challenging for me because the writer uses words to convince the reader that the writer's opinion is correct with regard to an issue. While writing the essay I discovered that I need to work on punctuation and verb tense. These errors are easy mistakes to fix, so I will go to the writing center or my mother, whom has a degree in writing. My goal will be fixing my errors so I will be ready for the second half of the semester and writing 1020 next semester. When writing my narrative essay, I wrote about a playground memory, a memory which affected my life all through elementary. This essay helped me realize that I should let the little things go and focus on whats more important. Writing this essay brought me to some difficulties because I started getting into a third person point of view. I had to take my paper to the writing center because it wasnt a narrative essay anymore. My MLA format was well formatted and I didnt have any run-on sentences. The argumentative essay was difficult to write because I had to persuade the writers that my opinion about the issue was right. To be honest, I had no clue how to write a paper on persuasion. So I used the search engine, Google to define and help me write this essay.

Hopefully, when I get my essay back there wont be any errors showing some improvement. In conclusion, writing these essays were enjoyable and helped improve surface areas I needed help in.
