Newton's Three Laws!

! !

By Rachel!

Newton's three laws explain motion, forces, action, gravity, reaction and movement. First of all, Newton described inertia. If you hit a volley ball, it will y over the net until the other player hits it. The ball will go back over the net when someone else hits it. The object is going to stay in motion until someone hits it. Also, a volleyball will stay in your hand until you hit the ball. The volleyball will stay at rest until it is served. To sum it all up, you see inertia played out in volleyball. ! Newton's second law explains acceleration. To start, heavier objects need more force applied to them if you want them to go the same distance as a lighter object. If you swim the buttery stroke and want to go just as fast as freestyle (front crawl) then you will have to kick harder. Therefore, Newton's second law explains Freestyle acceleration and affects swimming. Newton's Third Law is "For every Buttery action there is an equal and opposite reaction." First of all, if you push on something, it pushes back. Say your on a block, getting ready to dive into the pool. If you push on the block to go in the water, the block pushes back. When it pushes back, it helps you go out farther into the water. So, Newton's third law helps you in swimming. In conclusion, Newton's Three Laws are an explanation of force(s), gravity, motion, movement, action, and reaction.
