Intertextuality/Making Connections

Experiences with Peer Review I have a lot of experience with peer reviews, both in high school and in my college classes at UNCW. I am not a big fan of peer review, because I dont like sharing personal work with others. Also, it has been my experience that the peer reviews and suggestions I have received have never been very helpful for me, and the kids reviewing my work never cared enough to do more than scribble good description or nice phrasing or good job! on my papers. I have never received any good constructive criticism, and I dont think its because my papers are all perfect. I find peer review to be a waste of valuable class time.

I chose my daybook entry regarding my attitudes towards and experiences with peer editing for the intertexuality and/or making connections. I chose to focus on making connections instead of intertextuality, and I chose to make the connections regarding peer review between this class and my previous classes. I think that by talking about my past experiences in my old classes with peer review, it helped to show why I didnt think it was all that great of an idea for this class.
