Fall 2013 To Whom It May Concern: I am writing this recommendation for Ashley Lapaglia in regards to her application for

employment with your campus. For the past four years, I have worked at the University of North Texas and was Ashleys instructor in literacy courses. I have worked closely with Ashley over the past two years and watched her foster development and growth as an educator. She has the ability to connect with students and encourage them to go to lengths they never considered possible. As a student in my class, Ashley was responsible for preparing lesson plans and developing appropriate literacy content. At times, this type of work can be overwhelming, but Ashley consistently kept her focus on quality preparation and strong encouragement and assessment of her students. She worked diligently to develop content appropriate for her students because she felt invested in their learning and progress. Ashley always demonstrated a very strong work ethic both in the classroom and out in the field. She never once faltered in her duties or responsibilities as a student or student teacher. As a result, I believe she would have qualities to withstand the pressure of an elementary classroom that would require organizing and juggling many tasks at one time. I can easily give Ashley my highest recommendation of knowing I would be more than happy to place my own child in her classroom. For these reasons and others, I have no hesitation in recommending Ashley for your campus. She will embrace new knowledge and training and work very hard to incorporate it into her daily work. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions. Sincerely,
