Seven Rules I Cant Unlearn

Below are the seven rules from prior english classes that are forever burnt into my brain. Every teacher from middle school all the way to the end of high school pressured and pushed these rules on me and my fellow students. There are a few more that I can name like never use the work I, and allways underline the title of a book but we were limited to naming our top seven rules.

1. Indent your paragraphs. 2. Research your topic before writing your essay. 3. Put quotes in context. 4. Allways support your thesis. 5. Your paragraphs need to flow smoothly. 6. An essay must be at least 5 paragraphs. 7. Do not use the word "you" in essays.
