While You REREAD: Taking Notes

One excellent strategy for leaning is to re-read a text several times. Return to "Keep Hope Alive" and reread this section. Take notes on the following ideas as you reread it.

Problems that EMS has in Connecticut 1. The states commitment to EMS has been rapidly abandoned 2. Positions has been slashed 3. The law requiring an EMS director is being skirted by pinning the title on an overburdened Health Bureau Chief with no EMS experience

What Canning and other people do to address these problems 1. Connecticut EMS will fall further behind national standards 2. PSAs possibly abolished. EMS policy set by people with no EMS background. 3. We will be laughingstock for other states. And we-EMS-will have no voice for our issues and concerns at a time when health care delivery is being revolutionized 4. Dont let them disrespect us any longer

5. EMS-what we do-is important
