Animal Adaptation Reaction Paper Fitting in with your environment that's what animal adaptations are all about! That is what the documentary tells us all about. Animals are able to easily adapt to their surroundings by using the things in their particular environment for food and shelter. From chickens that use their claws to make nests, to certain types of lizards that can walk or run on water. The changes in their environment brought modification of animals in order to fit in their habitat. They struggle for space, water and temperature because of these changes. The documentary also illuminated us the necessity of terrestrial animals to oxygen and how cytoplasmic streaming occurs in amoeba. The feature film also differentiates the three types of animal adaptation structural of physiological, functional or morphological and behavioural adaptation and the changes in the structures or body parts of organisms, their metabolism and their reactions to the environment. The short clip also showed the students ectotherms and endotherms and how they relate to the surroundings temperature. They even developed hydrostatic shells and specialized tongue in order to promote a new way of consuming food. Adaptations such as deception and camouflage are widespread in nature. Some animals can use their body shape and behaviour to hide. Others are able to use colour. This hidden coloration is called cryptic coloration. The movie has given a concise explanation on how mimicry and cryptic coloration help animals to fit and help them survive their environment and from their predators. Their necessities brought those tremendous changes in their structures, way of living and body functions. Without a doubt, animal adaptation brought a new era to animals and the organisms that surround them.
