Congratulations! You have been selected as a finalist for one of the open teaching positions in the Forest County School District. We are a school district that prides itself in our students and our teachers, our parent and community partners, and our innovate initiatives. By focusing on learning, understanding, and creativity, we prepare our students to grow, develop, and succeed in the world, and provide the support and time for our teachers to grow with them. We are less than 50 miles from somewhere else, and our County offers a great deal of natural and cultural opportunities. These factors make Forest County a desirable place to live and our population is growing. The Forest County Schools need excellent, caring, and tech-savvy teachers. And that is why you have been selected as a finalist. We are asking all finalists for teaching positions to submit an online portfolio using the Hoverboard portfolio system (http://www.hoverboard.io/). In this online portfolio, we are asking for the following information: Who are you, and what about education is interesting and important to you. A sense of style and creativity. What do learning, understanding, and creativity mean to you? How can you use technology to support learning, understanding, and creativity? What do you bring to support learning, understanding, and creativity with technology?
