History

Mission
The mission of the Live Green! Initiative is to clean the environment, share ways to lessen our impact on worldwide climate change, and instill environmentsustaining customs amongst present and future Iowa State students.

Accomplishments

Founded in 2008 by Iowa State President Gregory Geoffroy Program founded on four pillars: 1. Establishment of the Presidents Advisory Committee on Energy Conservation and Global Climate Change

Awarded a B letter-grade from College Sustainability Report Card

The National Wildlife Federation recognizes the program as:

2. Establishment of a Live Green! Revolving Loan Fund


3. Hiring of a Sustainability Director 4. Completion of a Sustainability Symposium for all university staff, faculty, and students
