$ctivit Design: Class starter and lesson connection: -se the regions of Georgia to highlight the 'an$ different people fro' all over the state and ho) the$ i'pact the state.s histor$. This lesson )ill connect all of the / regions into an overall state vie) of Georgia. Students )ill be using co'puters and boo*s to find a fe) figures in Georgia histor$ and 'atch the' )ith one of the / regions of the State. Then the$ )ill start to group the people based off the region that the$ fall under. Direct instruction is not needed for this but individual help )ill be needed to guide the students through their searches. This can or cannot be a group project based off of ti'e constraints and class si0e. Students )ill use 'an$ different things including boo*s and the internet to gather their infor'ation. Technolog Connection: The )eb 'a*er on bubble.us )ill help to visuali0e all of the infor'ation that is gathered. The students )ill also use current ne)spapers or other )ebsites to gather infor'ation on current and past figures of Georgia.
