The delivery style of message, deciding of work approach, setting and heading to timelines, agreeing on acceptable are universal elements of teamwork. Those elements are important to make team work properly. It is a challenge to Project Managers to have these elements on his team because each member have different experiences and cannot adopt easily with his group members. Those universal elements are needed to use properly by the project manager to improve his teams skills.

The challenge of respect on hierarchal positions may depend on different cultures of members. Respect most of the time is the hardest admiration to gain in working with a team. Having different beliefs and cultures, which can mostly happen on multi-cultural teams, may not result to a compact team. Some may respect project managers but some of them may not because they grew up with different understanding and culture. Members who have that trait may ignore the hierarchal differences of the responsibilities of team members.

Subgrouping is not always a solution. Subgroups may not be always successful because of the needed multiple ties or the required cooperation from different subgroups.
