Iglu were engaged on this new primary school set on the banks of the Forth and Clyde Canal in Kirkintilloch. The project, joint run and funded by East Dunbartonshire Council and Hub West, is an exemplar project for the council, setting standards of design and space provision. Iglu have been providing a range of services including Landscape and Visual Appraisal, landscape planning advice and detailed design and development. Works are now due to start in the New Year 2014 with a completion date of April 2015, with an overall project cost of 4m+. Careful attention has been paid to the detailed landscape to address the edge of town location and the historic and scheduled setting of the Forth & Clyde Canal.
