ABSTRACT

This report deals with the investigation on concrete confined in steel tubes. Main aim of this project is to optimize the thickness of the steel tube. Testing on short column of height 600 mm will be done in future. Discussion of result will be based on strength and crushing of short column. Failure pattern of steel pipes and concrete under loading will also be evaluated. At present the concrete mix design and strength evaluation is done. In future this concrete will be filled in steel tubes of various thickness and then taken to testing as mentioned above.
