Cloze Procedure: Selected Deletion: Because of Winn Dixie

India was in a very melancholy mood due to the loss of her beloved dog. Her father was quite happy because he found the dog to be stupid and often called the dog retarded. As India sat outside crying over the loss of her dog the sky became dark and the rain came down so heavy in a downpour it was hard to see the road straight ahead. The rain started to die down and as India looked into the sky she could clearly see the constellation overhead. As she looked at all the stars and was naming the constellations she felt at ease and knew that her beloved dog was looking down upon her and helping her make predictions for the future and all of the good things that would come with it.
