“ BUTLER ES] ‘August 24, 2009 To: City of Dallas and Dallas Police Department SUBJECT: Police Reports Disabled As of August 24, 2009, Butler Solutions has disabled Police Reports. On January 22, 2009, Dallas Police Department and City of Dallas asked that Butler Solutions enter into a 200d faith effort in supporting Police Reports until a contract could be approved and signed. (See Appendix A for the proposals made at the meeting. City of Dallas selected the one-year plan for $75,000.00), A contract was submitted on January 28, 2009. As of August 24, 2009, the contract has not been submitted to City Council. (See Appendix B for timeline). It is approaching eight months from the Original submit date and the contract has yet to move in front of Dallas City Coun ‘The good faith effort has ended. For Butler Solutions to move forward, Dallas Police Department and City of Dallas will need to provide in writing, @ definite date that the contract will become a City Council agenda item. Butler Solutions will only accept a letter with a minimum of two signatures from the following people: Chief of Police, David Kunkle, CIO, Wortis Levine, City Manager, Mary K. Suhm or First Assistant City Manager, Ryan S. Evans. Also, the final contract must be reviewed by Butler Solutions before being submitted, When these conditions are met, Butler Solutions will then consider enabling Police Reports. If the City of Dallas decides to stop the contract from moving forward, then Butler Solutions will be paid for the following: ‘© The time spent in supporting the product, 24/7, since January 1, 2008. * Programming hours to roll-back the product to January 1, 2009, All monies must be paid before work begins. Improvements and modifications may be necessary in order for DPD to continue to use the Software, Example: Adding new search fields. $98,000.00 ($49,000.00 a year) Two-year contract | Support Provide email and telephone technical support | services 6am to 6pm, Central Standard Time, Monday through Friday.
