Reflection Lesson 2
On Wednesday 13th-November-2013, was the second day that I taught students and it was observed by MCT. I taught grade 5 students and I aimed to developed students skills in using Movie Maker. In addition the objectives of the lesson were let students be able to adding animations to the picture, adding visual effects and the sound to their video. In this lesson I focused in my communication skills with students, clear instruction and body language. I started the lesson by gave students the students label names, and explained how they can use it during the classroom. Then, I explained the classroom rules to control them and avoid misbehavior. At, the beginning of the lesson I asked student about date and day. Next, I engaged students by activity with whole class, to discover the topic of the lesson. I created a panel included characters and symbols, and they have to order the symbols to know the topic. This steps motivated students to participate in the class and make them active. After that, I made group work competition, which it about puzzle activity and the first group who order the picture I reward them by gave happy face for their group. According to Skinner positive reward encourage learner to repeat the behavior (McLeod, S. 2007). The projector stay didnt work, so started the explanation by presented pictures for the new tools that students will learnt, to be familiar with it. Later, I asked students to open the Movie Maker and added different picture to be busy with it while I explained for the first group. And I asked the group who h finished explained the lesson for them to work in pairs and practice what they learn, because they will have a quiz at the end of the lesson. After I explained the lesson for each group, I clap my hand to attracted students attention, and I asked them to work individually to evaluate them. I gave students who finished the quiz extra activity to work with. At the end of the lesson, I reflected with students what they learnt, and how they will use this program in other subject. After the class, I discussed with the MCT and she gave me feedback to help me to improve on the next class. The positive things that I did in the class that I used students label names it worked well, because it help me to organized the classroom. In addition, I used active participation and engagement during the lesson with students and move around the room. Finally, I have good lesson plan and I used it appropriately. On the other hand, I have to develop some point. First, I need to use big picture to be clear for all students. Second, some activities looked to slow the pace. Finally, I have a very commanding teaching voice, however I need to make it temper in the class to be more inviting.

For example, I controlled my voices and I made it temper in the class to be more inviting, and I used bigger pictures to be perfect for whole class. Through this class, I learned how involved the student in the class, and how its important to make the students active in the classroom.
