Chris Blake A mentor, brother, and friend.

A friend that will always give you his honest and truthful opinion on all aspects of life. Chris also was there and supported me through my literacy event and as a mentor he had the challenge of guiding me throughout this process. He is a significant person to ask these questions to because he views my literacies through all aspects of life. Before my stroke: What aspect were your efforts concentrated on concerning teaching me literacies in your position? I was Jarrins small group leader/mentor at church. What literacies/practices did I obtained concerning the area of your expertise before my stroke? (April of 2011)? By the time of your stroke, I had known and worked with you for about 5 years. In that time I feel that you matured and grew in your faith. You were also very focused on sports. From your perspective, where would you say my learned literacies came from? Your learned literacies def. came from your upbringing. You had a family with a strong faith, as well as high expectations for both academics and athletics. What areas did I explore my literacies most in? In other words, what aspect(s) were most of my efforts focused? Athletics, Academics During the period of returning after my literacy event (stroke): Could you tell aspects of my previous learned literacies were effected? If so, explain what aspects and how? I saw a noticeable decrease in physical abilities, however I do not know that those fall under a Learned literacy. If you looked at things like basketball - something that definitely took you a long time to work to where you were, I also noticed a decrease in function and ability.
