When to use a comma and common mistakes!!!
You can use a comma when making a list in a sentence or separating clauses or phrases. You can also use a comma to set off a geographical place, important date, address, or title in a name. Ex: Since May 2, 1998, John Smith, MD, has lived at 742 Evergreen Terrace, in Lawrence, Kansas. Also common comma mistakes include not remembering the comma in between the subjects and verb depending on your meaning Ex: Lets eat Grandma vs. Lets eat, Grandma Another common mistake is placing a comma after the second adjective where there shouldnt be Ex (Correct): He was a relaxed, carefree student. Ex (Incorrect): She had an obnoxious, black cat.
